MICHAEL SPAINHOUR

Vice President Construction & Real Estate Development

As Vice President of Real Estate Development, Michael Spainhour is responsible for directing and overseeing all construction and development for Marnell Properties. Mr. Spainhour works directly with the Project Executives and Project Managers on preconstruction, estimating, and daily construction and development activities.

Mr. Spainhour has worked with Marnell Corrao Associates, Marnell Properties’ umbrella company, since 1994 where he started as Project Manager. After only five years he was promoted to Vice President of Construction. With more than 23 years of experience in the construction industry, Mr. Spainhour has worked on a wide variety of construction projects that include some of the largest and most well known hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. He has excellent knowledge of construction means, methods and materials as well as overall operations. He is a well respected leader with employees, subcontractors and owners.

Mr. Spainhour has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas. He is a board member of the National Association of Minority Contractors and Opportunity Village, sits on the UNLV Construction Management Advisory Committee and the Carpenters Union Apprenticeship Committee, and is a member of the Nevada Minority Business Council.
